Purchasing and Storage
Fresh California Figs are available from June to September, and European Figs are available throughout the autumn months. Pick figs with a deep rich colour that are plump but not mushy. When ripe they will smell mildly sweet. Use within 2 days of purchasing, and store in the fridge after wrapping well. Packaged figs will need to be used within two days as well and stored in a similar manner. Check out my fig recipes and give these guys a try!
